Re: WTF is this????
Bad TSC switch, when you have it turned off does the "TSC off" light come on your dash?
|
Re: WTF is this????
Ya sounds like a bad switch.. Try unplugging it from the back of the switch and see if it still does it..
|
Re: WTF is this????
The switch i think woks ok. the dash lights are all good. when i turn the TCS off, and nail it, thats when the other light comes on

Re: WTF is this????
def sounds like a bad switch
like the guys said unplug it and see if it works |
Re: WTF is this????
Since it defaults to on, if you unplug it, won't it stay on?

Re: WTF is this????
I think i may have worded the problem wrong. Here it is again,. I have 2 lights on my dash, one is TCS OFF and the other is LOW TRAC. When i have the TCS off this is indicated on the dash as well as the low trac once i dig into it. If i have the TCS ON, i don't get the LOW TRAC indicator, during both situations the car will hesitate or bog??? how is that?

Re: WTF is this????
Try posting this in the correct forum next time.. sigh

Re: WTF is this????
Are you sure it's not just a hesitation problem and that it's actually the TCS kicking in?
|
Re: WTF is this????
I don't think it is a hesitation problem. If that were the case I think the car should stall in other rpm ranges or sputter at idle...etc..etc. The car will launch, the the loss of power and pick back up. Could this be the torque management i've heard about? How does it work?
|
Re: What is this????
My understanding is that torque management cuts power on the automatics as it shifts to ease the shock on the drivetrain. Depending on what the problem it, it's possible for the car to idle smoothly and operate normally in other rpm ranges.

Re: What is this????
yeah i think it is like 15% toque for 98 and 40% torque for 99-02

Re: What is this????
how do you turn off the traction control?
