transmission...what could it be?

I filled up my gas and im thinking its the tranny this time, but hell, i dont know. when i go to the highway and hit the gas, my rpm likes really sluggish on 1500 to 2500 its like having a hard time going up,, making the car stubmle until i floor this car and hit about 3000 rpm and then its fine,,, the ex owner told me that he rebuilt the transmission cause something was going wrong with it,, whats the deal.. any help is greatly appreciated. (it feels like it shifts out of first then stays on second and trying to shift to third,, the rpm on 1500 to 2500 is like bouncy not going straight up) PLEASE HELP.. I might have to go to the dealer for this one. thanks

note he also said he have the shop instal a shift kit on it. and yeah on the stop light while on stop, my idle bounces from 1000 to like 1100.. rought.. I hate this thing already man. Please Help.

I realize you are excited but do NOT TTT your topic when it gets down to the 5th one on the first page! That is very inconsiderate of the other members here. Also, this is in the wrong forum. Moving to the Drivetrain forum.

doesnt sound like the transmission at all. And you dont sound like you could diagnose your car yourself so I would recommend takin the car to a mechanic.

sounds like engine performance trouble, like misfiring or faulty sensors.

Where you located in Illinois? I might be able to look at it for ya. Sounds like something besides the Transmission. My brothers 94 Z28 did the had very siniliar symptoms as yours and it turned out to be the Optispark dying. Let me know where your at.
