Transmission conversion

Hey Guys,

I was wondering if anyone has attempted this before? I currently own a 97 Camaro with a 3.8L Engine and an automatic transmission. I have the digital odometer in the dash cluster.

From someone I was speaking to about the subject, they told me that in addition to either replacing my PCM or having it reprogrammed that I would also need to replace the engine wiring harness and the interior wiring harness. I believe that he said it had to do something with the reverse lights, hatch release, and speedometer. Can anyone confirm this? Or give me any advice? Has anyone performed this conversion?

Additionally, I would like to confirm that the trans for this car would be the T5? Does anyone know what this trans is rated for as far as torque and hp? The reason I ask is because I am adding a supercharge with 8psi and I don't need to shred the trans if I get it to work.

Additionally, the following is a list of the components that I have assembled. Is there anything that I might be missing?

Transmission - T5
shifter
Bell housing
Fly wheel
Master cylinder and slave cylinder lines and res.
Master cylinder
slave cylinder
pedals
rubber boot
drive shaft
trans cross member
clutch
pilot bearing
shifter plate
PCM
center console
