i am buying a 85 z and i want to take out the 700r4 and put in a 400 turbo, what do i need to do to make it work. thanks

 

plus i am looking for a set of the rs style wheels, if anyone ha a set they would like to part with, let me know.

 

You might get better luck in the 3rd gen tech or the drive train forum. But, if its anything like putting a turbo 350 in a lt1, I know the housing has to be machined down and you have to buy an adapter to mate the block and tranny. Plus your driveshaft has to be shortened.

Thanks for the advice, that sounds like alot of work. i think i will just stick with the 700r4 for now, i won't be pushing no more than a lil over 400hp when i get some work done. thanks again.

Thanks man, i have just been busy trying to get all the money for this car i am buying...$400 without motor, but has the training, damn near flawless shape, but the paint is a lil faided but not bad, thanks again for moving it for me.
