Trans probs !! Help !!
 

I installed a Vig 3,200 converter about a week ago . Well here's the deal , Coming home tonite from work , i jumped on it and it didn't shift to second it hit the limiter and i backed off and then i think it shifted . After that it was acting funny , it won't shift t 2nd and when it does it feels like Neutral untill you get the RPM's up . And ive also notice it won't go into reverse but acts fine in first gear . I should also say ive never felt it slipping ever and the car has just over 70 k on the clock , im thinking either the converter is bad or the front pump , it makes a wine-ing noise like maybe a pump , any help guys??

well, if ur in a lower gear, and you're going fast, if you let off the gas, your car will feel like it's in neutral until you get your rpm up high enough to where your motor and tranny speeds match.

have u considered checking your solinoids?

did you reprogram your pcm?

Mine is doing something similar, but I have a stock converter. Mine doesnt want to shift to 3rd though. It stays in 2nd and I have to rev it up a few times (in the neutral mode) and it eventually catches and shifts to 3rd. I am going to have it rebuilt, again (only like 5 months on last tranny rebuild). Hope you figure it out and you dont need it rebuilt. Good luck.
