Torque converter question

Today i pulled my 4l60e out of my 95. When i pulled the converter off to drain it i heard a noise. If i turn the converter over, each time it makes a clunking noise!!! Thats not normal is it?

Doing what I like and not what I should!

I got my tranny installed but have noticed that the converter is locking and unlocking quickly under light acceleration and constant speed. Can the tcc solenoid be going bad? Or what about the pwm solenoid?
