Re: torque converter?
I have a vig 2800 and 3.42 gears. Its already too much for street tires and nittos are necessary unless you want to go slower on street. Of course with real track tires could likely go for whatever stall you want. I would think 3200 ,3500 no problem but would think you want to stay under 4000 if the car sees much street use.
As for brand zero complaint with my vig. Got it used off the board.
Also I did have to raise my rev limiter and lower my shifts from 1 to 2 and think 2 to 3 forget now as would bump the rev limiter. Today was doing a nice burnout and hit the limiter.
So would say for sure you need some programming of rev limit and shift points.
I also have to add that my 2800 vig is transparent in normal street use. I can't tell its in the car no big slippage in traffic nothing ,maybe because of the 3.42s. I should have went for a 3200 or so likely but no big deal good enough.
