My seal started leaking slowly on my T56 in my '97 SS. I had work order one today from Carquest, but didn't look anything like what is in there. I went to Auto Zone after work to see if they had anything different, but listed the same Timkin number. I had the guy check to see what the number for the seal was for the auto and it was the same part.

Is the Timkin 9613S the right part number for the t56 output seal? Does anyone know what the GM part number is on that thing?

thanks
Jeremy

Edit: Wrong number, should be right now.

Not sure about the number part. When I went to both autozone and advance auto they have the seal for the auto listed to be a M6 seal. Flat instead of coned shaped.

For anyone wanting to know. I dropped ~$35 for the GM part, compared to 8-9 for the Timkin. Here is the GM part number for anyone that may run across this thread and want to cross reference the number: pn 10117848

That is the GM number listed on the box.
