T56 fork
 

Does this fork look worn out ? it seems to move around alot . I have have a knocking noise when the car is running , If its in neutral and if i push the pedal down or let it up . while driving no noise and shifts great , all the noise seems to come from the bellhousing area . i have checked the input shaft no movement and thrust bearings no movement there either . Any ideas would be appreciated

Slop at that point is normal. When it's all together, the fork held in the bearing groove and other end held against the slave cylinder keep it from flopping around.

Pull it off, degrease it and inspect the spring clip & fork body for wear.

Some last a really long time. Others not so much.
