t56 conversion....question

ok...i bought a t56 out of a 94 Z28..i am putting it in my 93 Z28..now about the speedometer..i believe the 93's had a speedo gear, correct? do the 94's?..if not, how will i make my speedometer work? will i have to convert to a PCM?

I did my conversion on a 94 so this info is from posts I have read about people converting 93s.

Your car uses an electric speedometer. The trans doesn't have a gear. It uses a reluctor to provide the signal. The pulses from an auto are a different number per mile than from a manual. The easiest way to correct the signal is to use a converter like the one in this link.

I have seen several posts about problems correcting the speedometer on 93 T56 conversions. You might try a search to see what you can find.
