T56 Borg Warner Tranny rebuild

Ok, i am looking for a gear puller. I was told that in order to make my life simple during this rebuild i should get a long puller and i would be good to go. Anyone know where i could find one? also, when i put the gears back on do i have to have a special machine to press them on? Thanks, Nick

You can use a standard gear puller kinda...just gotta knock the timming gear up a bit....and yes you need a press for the 1/2...3/4 gear assembly.... I think 5/6 might need a press...not sure if I recall...though... Only thing you need a gear puller for really is to remove the timming gear... everything else on there pretty much requires a shell clamp and a hydrualic-press...Your #1 investment should be a Kick *** O-ring remover...trust me that will save you HOURS!!!!!of needless frustraition.
