stall converter
I am looking into putting a stall converter into my 87 iroc. What stall would you recomend for a aggressive street machine, that sees the strip 4 times a year. The trany is a 700r4 with a B&m Shift kit. I was thinking about 1800 or soo.

Re: stall converter
1600 is about stock so a 1800 would not be a improvement. I am using a 2400 stall with my 350 and it works out ok for a daily driver. :D

Re: stall converter
How long did it take you to install it? By ok do you wish you went more aggressive?

Re: stall converter
No estimate of time, work was done during a engine swap. By Ok, a larger stall for me would have made the car unuseable as a daily driver. But you can decide for yourself. (1800 stall means you have no experience on this subject). ;)

Re: stall converter
2400 should be good for your motor. Also get a shift kit and tranny cooler. ;)

Re: stall converter
I have a shift kit and a trans cooler....How about that Cheaper b&m the tork master...

Re: stall converter
A 3600 stall with a 2.5 STR, coupled to a race grade SF29 flexplate. You will go from "Farfeknugen to ***enmoven" in no time flat :)
Don't forget a Transgo shift kit 3 washer, and a 24k trans cooler. |
