Re: stall
Yea i hear good things about the yank ss 3600 use guys think that would be too much stall for me tho daily summer car? not much highway driving tho. think i would be disapointed with a vigilante 2800? thanks.

Re: stall
you haven't stated you're intended use of the car !
dragstrip ? 'streetfighting' ? autocross ? roadracing ? 2400-2800 range would be dissappointing after a while. 3000-3600 would be a good match for 3.73s'. you would also have to add a suppementary trans oil cooler. 3.73s' are a good gear for automatics. |
Re: stall
oh sorry mostly crusier occasionally dragstrip

Re: stall
the consensus rule of thumb for a convertor,"whatever size you think is best for you,go more"
wanting a 2800 means you'll regret not getting a 3200,or a 3500,or 3600. go get/take some rides in variously stalled cars. |

Re: stall
yea thanks for the replies. did you have to get a tune when going to 3600? im not worried about the size of the stall driveability wise as much as not being able to tune it for the 3600 with the ob1 pcm problems with higher stalls.

Re: stall
Yes you will need to get it tuned for just about any size converter larger than stock.
