I'm looking to buy a new clutch for my 96 Z28. There's no mods to speak of, stock engine, I won't be doing any serious racing. Looking at an SLP clutch, they say the disc works well (or better) with their SLP flywheel. I really don't want to spend the extra $400 for the flywheel, and prefer to use the stock one. Has anyone had any bad experiences with SLP clutches? What's the recommendation on the flywheel? Should I look into a different manufacturer that works better with a stock flywheel?

 

You can use your stock flywheel with that clutch and PP. Just resurface your stock flywheel before you install the SLP stuff.
