Slave Cylinder problem

While doing my clutch/transmissoin install, i managed to push in the clutch with the slave cylinder disconnected. This pushed the piston all the way out and i couldnt get it to go back in.

I removed the rubber boot, which blew brake fluid into my eyes so i didnt see exactly how it went together. I now have a spring that im not sure what to do with.

Does anyone know how the spring goes in there? or have a diagram? My service manual is pretty worthless.

I hope i didnt break it?

If it's beyond repair, you can get a new one from Dal or Jason Cromer for about $90...comes as a complete system including fluid.
