should I flush the tranny or not?

I have an SS and I am about 43k miles on it. I bought the car in May and I do not know if he had it flushed or not. Should I just get the tranny flushed or change the fluid. It would hurt to just get it flushed would it? Thanks

I have a manual transmission. Should I use the fluid that is in the manual or is their a better transmission fluid?

Well the stuff GM puts in is that "100,000 mile" stuff. I just changed mine, and I have 105k. I did it simpily because I was putting a new clutch in. Keep it in, your fine. Wait till you swap out your clutch. to empty it, remove the 2 bolts on the passenger and driver side of the trans (use a 3/8 drive + extension (no socket). Cap it back, and fill it with about 4 qts of Dextron III (I THINK thats what its called) through the shifter housing.
