I just purchased a B&M shifter, and will be replacing the stock shifter, and also installing a stainless steel shift boot retainer. My question is, does the console have to come out, or can I just remove the shift boot and do everything from there.
I just got the car not to long ago, and haven't done a lot to it yet. I searched, and found a post, but the links to the walkthroughs didn't work anymore. Any help would be great.
By the way, the car is a 95 T/A M6
