I'm putting a stock 94 vette motor in my 95 and will be using a fresh built 4l60e with corvette servo and transgo shift kit. The only mods that will be done are pacesetter lt's and y pipe, magnaflow, k@n cai, egr and a.i.r. removal, and probably a custom tune. Question is what torque converter should I go with? Stock or maybe 2400-2800 stall? Also what brand? I've read all of the stickys but still don't have a clue. I figure the motor will put out around 325-335hp. I also have a stock converter out of the vette I got the motor from although it's been out of the car for a while- if this will be sufficient, great, if not what am I looking at spending for good performance.
thanks

What rear gear do you have? The more gear you have (3.23 to 3.73) will make the stall rating feel more tame. I have a Vig. 2800 and started out with the factory 3.23s. Went with the 3.73s with the H/C swap. Now with the 3.73s it feels almost stock again. If you really want to wake your car up, go with the 3.73s and use a quality 3200 converter. Just my 2 cents.

I run 3.42s and am going to 3.73s very shorty (Needs new gears). I just put in a 3000 Fuddle and it is amazing. So smooth on the street, and is dead on 3K when flashing.
John Cameron is awesome to work with and REALLY stands behind his product. I see why now. I highly recommed a 3000 Fuddle for you.

you'll think differently after driving with a fuddle! They are just as good if not better than the yank! And I am not bashing the yanks but they Fuddle converters are stout!
Fuddles have anti Balloning plates and work perfectly with nirous. I recommend the HP series from Fuddle if your gonna spray. I noticed most everyone using a Yank has a very high stall 4K+ RPM. John Camron at Fuddle will not steer you wrong, and will hook you up with a stall equally as good as a Yank stall at a fraction of the cost.
