Rear end question

I have a 93 T/A and the rear end does no more smokey burnouts.

Anyway, its only 1 tire fire for me! I have been looking at getting this fixed, but I am unsure is exactly what I need? I found a guy here that is selling a Auburn Posi for a 7.5 10 bolt series 2...Will this work for me? and I would also like to go with 3.73's while I'm there. Also found this on eBay? But I know I don't want a locker.

You have an auto, so the 2 series should work for you. I'm not sure if there are different 10 bolts for chevy, though. You definitely do not want a locker.

If you get 3.73's, make sure you get some that fit the 2 series carrier.

Or also that 3 series carrier would work with gears included. To run 3.73's on a 2 series carrier, you need either a special ring gear or a spacer for the ring.

Try just changing the fluid first... remember to add real GM Posi additive (available at any GM dealership). Sometimes that's all it takes to get the posi working properly.

I have already changed the fluid and I used the additive also, it didn't work for me.

I was looking, and I think I have a 3 series carrier? I have 3.23 gears so it's possible the 3 series should be fine?

I forgot the Autos had that option. Yeah, that should be the 3 series carrier then, sorry.
