OK Guys......

Ok, this is KINDA a question about a Camaro.... But not really. I have a 84 C4 Vette. The tranny is bad. It's a 700R4. I have a 700R4 out of a 94 LT1 Camaro sitting on the ground with 0 miles on the rebuild... Can I put the Rebuilt tranny from the Camaro in the Vette?????

I hope I can... it would save me lots of time and money if it will bolt up.

If you're 94 Camaro tranny is stock, it's not a 700R4. It's a 4L60E. It will bolt up, but the camaro tranny is computer controlled while the 700R4 is not.

When I bought the Camaro it had a 700R4 in it..... I was told it was at least. I had the tranny rebuilt and the transmission guy confirmed it is a 700R4. Not the 4L60E that would've normally been in that year of Camaro.

You can use it you will either need to swap the output shaft or cut 3/4 inch off of it since the camaro shaft is longer, And swap the tail housing , The converter cover will also mount a little differently .
