New clutch....failing! Help!

New clutch....failing! Help!

My clutch pedal is not wanting to come back up after engaugement. Also, I'm havin serious problems getting her in and out of gear. The last symphtom is the pedal is to the floor <like the clutch is bad>, but it can't be that !!! I only have 3k on this clutch....any ideas?? Slave or master cylindar <sp?> maybe? This is makin me mad!! Everything always !$#$! up at the same time!!!

First check the fluid level in the clutch master.

If the fluid is low, get under the dash down by the clutch pedal and feel /look around for brake fluid.

If you find some fluid the seals in the clutch master are gone.

If you refill the master you should be able to pump the clutch pedal and get some pressure built up to disengage the clutch.

If you can do this, then the problem could be the slave cylinder, but in my experience the master goes first.

GM sells them as a set, so it may not matter.

If you have plenty of fluid and no leaks then I would worry about the clutch. Otherwise check out the clutch hydraulic system.

Anyone have the part # on these?

The master cylinder i clicked on gmpartsdirect.com was "not found in their database"

or is there anywhere else I can get it?
