Moser Quality control?

Just put a new Moser 9 inch in my car and it whines like crazy!
If thats not bad enough, I just looked under the car and it is leaking bad out of the front pinion seal.
Is there an issue with there quality control or am I just unlucky?

Sorry to hear that. My 9" will be here today. I'm using Moser 9" housing, Mosers axles and bearings but the Center section is a HRW Nogular stuffed with 4:11s and a locker !!
If you pinion seal is leaking it could be due to a falty new seal or someone pinched and ripped the seal during install.
Im not sure what gears you went with but if you got some 4:11s in there they are going to whine no matter what. Sounds to me though like the center section was a rush set up and I would contact moser and try to get them to replaced it for free!! It not hard to mess a gear set up all to crap. Maybe the Tec had a hangover?
Good luck to you and wish me the as mine install will start toninght/tomorrow.

You might want to drain the fluid and check for metal. My buddy had the same problem ( it didnt whine, it SCREAMED!!!) with his moser 9". The gear setup was so tight the gears grinded themself up. He ended up sending it back and they shipped him a new one.
