ls1 rear end sawp into v6

im looking to swap an ls1 rear end into my v6 so that i can get rid of the one wheel wonder.

I looked into it and i would like to keep the same gears (3.42s) and i dont have traction control. So i would need a 3 channel rear.
So ultimately i would need a rear end out of a 98+ ls1 6 spd without traction control.

how many ls1 6spds came without traction control? any?

You dont necessarily need a 98' or newer rear, it just needs to have the LS1 axles as they slightly shorter for your brakes to mount up properly and the rest of what you want as far as a setup i.e. gears diff. etc. If you end up with a 4 channel rear housing you could probably drill it out for the speed sensor as it has the flat surface is already present where you need to drill, just make sure the gear for the speed sensor to read off of is there with the ring gear. You could probably rebuild the rearend you have, just find a limited slip diff and gears (your gears might even work) and have someone set it up unless you are up to it. I may be all wrong on all of this but thats what Ive learned along the way. I had an 01' V6 I was going to do the same to but traded it in on my Z instead. Hope that helps.
