My buddy with a 02 z28 with a t-56 6 speed tranny. The car has less than 9,000 miles. It has most of the bolt ons and stock clutch. His clutch is soft and will be replacing it. Sometimes when he goes into 4th, he then cannot get out of 4th. We beleive its due to a bent clutch fork. This is ok because we want to upgrade the internals in the t-56 since we will be removing it for the clutch. He is a Chevy tech and has access to people who can do the rebuild with him. So thats not the issue.

I am helping him look for upgrade part kits for his tranny. Such as a Viper level rebuild. OR better. Does anyone have websites where we can look and find kits. Prices and able to purchase on there.

Any help is appreciated.

Also is there a list of parts that should be upgraded when doing this sort of project

these guys are constructing a web site, but they have a 800# that you can call. they are the only guys that had any "heavy duty" application parts for my t5. they can probably help with the t56. check out the t56 for the same year corvette, some of the cases are the same and some of the parts may interchange, i know that the t56 from the vettes use a 3 piece sycro that is alot stronger thatn the one piece from the camaro tranny.
