Line locks suck for leaving off the line. Foot braking is a better way to go. With the line lock, if you have sticky tires on the back at all it will push right through the brakes. Foot braking you have pressure on the back calipers helping to keep them still. Without this you can start turning the tires over pretty easy.

Is your 3rd leg that big and powerful where you can use it to hold the brake while your 2 real feet operate the gas and feather the clutch?

...and lets leave my 3rd member out of this.
Re: Line lock
First yellow:
Right foot: Heel on the brake pedal, toe on the gas.
Left foot: On the clutch
Last yellow:
Right foot: Slip right foot off of the brake and put your foot through the floor.
Left foot: Side step.
Green:
Hang on and hope your drivetrain can handle it.

But yeah, line locks are commonly used by M6 drivers to keep them from rolling. But you won't be able to use them with an A4 car as if they were a transbrake.
Re: Line lock
You could get two line lock kits and install one on the rear brakes, and then wire in a custom switch so that you could lock just the fronts or all four. There'd be some custom work involved, but I don't think it would be too bad.
Then you wouldn't lose any braking power over a footbrake, and you'd still save on rear brake wear in the burnout box.
Just a thought.
