Eaton

After 196,000 hard miles, with over 80,000 of that being supercharged and producing 400+ routine foot torque at most of the RPM range. My Torsen differential blew its carrier housing and gave up the ghost. Lucky me, I baby drove it to the shop and didn't mess any of gears.

So, instead of just replacing the Torsen with a junkyard or other, I get convinced to put in the Eaton by my mechanic.

Well, without any track or dyno results, I am certain that power is being delivered to the two rear wheels more effectively and with greater acceleration than usual. Second gear is more prone to rip the tires when boost comes on than before. (Hint: make sure you're aiming in a nearly straight direction if in 2nd at 3500RPM and TPS=100%) There's a little more breakage of the tires if there's anything other than being in a straightline, or therabouts. But that may be due to the better power distribution leaving the axle housing.

I am quite impressed.:p

It's a good unit!
