is it this disc??? help please

Hi all,
I heard about Mcleod single clutch disk heavy duty for shifting at 7500rpm... is it that one?? http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku

I want to install it with the OEM Lt4 pp http://www.clutchcityonline.com/products/04-142.shtml

anybody can say me if its all right please?? My car have approximatly 400-450hp at the crank and I take it for summer daily driving

CreatiVe2 Feb 21, 2009 11:01 AM

thats the mcleod single disk i had hat got me about 30+k miles, spun it to 6.3k more than most people... held strong til the day it died.
the lt4 PP is the only PP you can get for these cars (strongest) check out www.clutchnet.com great deals for probably the same mccleod clutch you posted.

I tried to bolt the pressure plate on the flywheel just to see in living room.. but the pressure plate bolt are like too short..like the clutch disk take to much space between the flywheel and pp (PICTURE 2).. should I use bolt longer to begin the tighting or what??

thank you and sorry for my poor english!..

JROY500 Mar 17, 2009 04:25 PM

is it possible that the sticker ''flywheel side'' is not on the good side..
because if I try the other side.. it seem to fit #1.. like the stock lt4 disk..

help me please

JROY500 Mar 17, 2009 07:50 PM

i doesn't seem right though. when i just installed my new clutch, the Sprung hub side went into the flywheel, because the pressure plate wouldn't bolt down otherwise.

JROY500 Mar 18, 2009 05:21 PM

nice! thank you CreatiVe2

I just received an answer on the site mcleod and it say that :

You are using a standard push style disc (260871) on a OEM pull style flywheel and pressure plate. That won't work! You need a 261871 made specific for the LT flywheel.

strange.. I really think that I am going to try my OEM lt4 pp .. if the disc dont touch the flywheel bolt, I dont see the problem..
it's perhaps just a knack to sell their supply... who know :|

Chevyguy358 Mar 19, 2009 12:04 PM

I believe the spring hub is supose to face the flywheel, are you saying that it won't fit when facing this direction?

JROY500 Mar 19, 2009 03:53 PM

no it fit on this direction but in this case, the sticker ''flywheel side'' is only not on the good side..
