So on my way to work the slave went out,i guess,iv'e had bad luck with the spec throwout bearings goin' out too(lost two),i had some luck rev matching to get to a place where i could pull over(grid locked in A.M. traffic)i was accelerating through first then into second when the sychros starting singing their song and it went into second only... it didn't.The shifter was there but when applying throttle the engine just rev'ed . I am getting tired of this repair at hundreds of dollars a pop,only to replace one every year just about.i will continue to make the sacrifice if that's what it takes.Heres my worry,not only am i out another clutch kit,but i worry i've damaged my sychros or worse in my t56.Anyone else suffer a similar fate? i also started looking into getting an ls1 throwout bearing but the cost seems high too.may be worth my annual 400 dollar clutch kit replacement.
