Clutch Chatter Help
im lookin at buyin a z28 95 m6 with 78k miles. In first, if started out very slowly..clutch slowly released..it seems to chatter a little in first...or make a little noise..while it give the the feelings of something spining...hard to explain sorry if im bad at it..i was just wondering how long the stock clutches typically are good for..this only happened on slow take offs and normally it wouldnt do it..and i even got on it, and it shifted fine, im just thinking maybe im being a lil 2 cautios...thanks for any help
stock clutches can last 100k+ however most need to be replaced around 75-80k, often even sooner. Mine had a similar problem and it turned out to be a pilot bushing. If you're looking to upgrade and want a stock feel but a little more holding power i'd go with a lt4 clutch assembly or a spec stage 2.
