well if you are just changing the filter and topping the transmission back off its not hard and you can do it yourself by unbolting the transmission pan, draining the fluid into a container changing the filter and put a new gasket on and bolt it back up.this is rec. every 100k.Where the fluid exchange is rec. every 50k and u should take it to a any quick lube that does transmission flushes. This way you get a 100% fluid exchange. We do it at our work for 99$. We do the complete trans service for like 160$ vs dealer is like 300+.

How many miles are on the A/T?

Be careful with a flush unless the guys who are working on it clean the magnet in the pan too. Otherwise, they flush the A/T and the metal powder flies around and gets inbedded in your soft parts which will trash your A/T in a few thousand miles.

You can change the filter by yourself, it is easy... and you can clean out the pan. That will take about 3 quarts but it won't change the fluid in the torque converter or lines.

I'd also recommend to disconned the line that goes to the A/T cooler up front and buy a rubber hose about 2' long and stick it in a drain bucket. Start the car and pour in fluid while the A/T pumps it out. Once you get to about 9 quarts (some flushes out) then turn off the engine, connect the A/T cooler line, and top off the fluid. After it is topped off, drive it around for 7 miles then recheck the fluid... top off if needed.

It is easy to do if you can turn a wrench. Plus, you'll get good quality ATF and a good filter.
