Car vibrates bad after tranny mount install

Few days ago I broke my tranny mount coming off the line at around 1500ish rpms, I fixed the tranny mount today, now it vibrates like crazy, even if your in park it will still vibrate all the way through the rpm range. Checked the mount, its fine. Anyone have an idea? Maybe I bent something (not sure what?) when I broke the tranny mount? It also whines through first gear now.

Did you put a poly mount in? Those will have some extra vibrations.

Its a prothane mount im asumeing thats what your asking, this is like severe vibration. It rode better when the tranny mount was completely broke.

This sounds very familiar. I just had my T-56 rebuilt and also have a vibration anywhere past 3000RPM. My first gear now whines as well....sounds like I am going in reverse. Keep this thread updated...Im curious what your problem is cause I think I have the same.
Thanks and good luck

Did the mount you installed consist of two pieces: the main section and a plate? If this is the case and you installed the plate, try taking the top plate out. Odds are that by installing the plate, the new mount is taller thus offsetting the pinion angle. An incorrect pinion angle will cause for vibrations from your driveline. Try removing the top plate and let us know what happens.

Its a one piece I thought about the pinion angle, but it does it in park when the pinion does not move. It also does it when It first rolls it over.

Hmmm........You mentioned that the car vibrates "crazy" when its in park, then you should check your engine mounts to see if they are worn or damaged and replace.

In regards to the aftermarket transmission mounts - this is usually a 50/50 proposition. Some cars don't have an issue with them and some do. I installed an Energy Suspension mount (including the plate) a month ago and no vibration issues at all. Others had issues with this mount and either removed the plate and reinstalled it; obtained a new aftermarket mount from another brand; or installed a replacement OEM mount to resolve the problem.

You should also check if the driveshaft is balanced (weights still present), all bolts securing the torque arm, driveshaft, and transmission crossmember. Tighten to spec as needed.

Also double check your pinion angle - it should be a -2 degrees for the street.
If the pinion angle is off then the car will vibrate excessively at speeds around 60 mph and higher.
