best clutch for everyday 450 hp?

I need to replace my clutch soon ,what is the best for everyday driving and will hold 450hp? I have a centerforce d/f now but is there a better clutch out there?

SPEC stage 2 or 3. That should be enough to hold that HP rate.

Is that 450 under hood, im pushing 392rwhp 434 rwtq and i have a maddog stage 3, well atleast thats the name they use many buy from the same wholeseller and name it what they want but its been reliable for me with some chatter. You can find them on ebay or several others for much cheaper then Spec in some cases.

From what I've heard, the best streetable clutch for big power is the McLeod Street Twin. Make sure whoever installs it knows what they're doing -- they don't install exactly the same as most clutches. I'm not sure exactly what the difference is, but the clutch will come with instructions, and you should follow them even if you know how to install a clutch.

Well For $1000 McLeod better be best. Without a doubt thats most likely the clutch but for the price, ouch. I would recommend SPEC or CF. I dont know about the "maddog" clutch, but I would go with a reputable company.

I have heard lots of complaints about the streetability of the other high-horsepower clutches. If the car's no fun to drive, what's the point? You have to figure out how much that's worth to you.

I'm going for a Street Twin as soon as my stock clutch wears out. :)

You will never outgrow a McLeod Street Twin in terms of horsepower, and it is perfectly driveable/streetable. It costs more money, but comes with a new master cylinder, new flywheel, etc. The ST is also rebuildable for roughly half the cost of a new one if you ever wear it out.

i got a mcleod performance disk with a autozone lt4 clutch kit and ive never had a problem.it chatters a little after it gets hot but its very streetable.

"it chatters a little after it gets hot" sounds like a problem to me.

Yeah, my ST is actually smoother and quieter after a night of abuse at the track.

I was using a RAM powergrip with 411rwhp and it drives like stock. Just pulled it out cuz I went auto and it still looks good after 65-70 track passes launching at 5000+ on drag radials and 7000miles of street driving.
