auto trans question?

auto trans question?

when i floor my car at a 20 roll it shifts into 1st, like normal, then shifts out of 1st and the engine free revs to like 6k then shifts into 2nd, is my trans starting to slip or take a dump?

Sounds like your tranny is slipping. I'm not a pro at tranny problems, but from what my friends have told it sounds like it is. Escpecially if your revs go up that high and your car goes nowhere right away.

Tranny slips, get it rebuilt.

I spent 2 grand a few years ago.. and well.. the trans is perfect..the rest hasnt held up though. LOL

I agree sounds like the tranny is slipping.

i had the same problem last year.

what happened to my trans is that the piston wore down over time and cracked which burnt/fried most-all of my clutches.

u most defineltly have a trans problem though

Mine did that at 58K mi. Solution: PTS rebuild. They did an awesome job. I'm very happy with the work done and couldn't have achieved my times in sig without their expertise.
