ASAP does the trans need to be unbolted to put clutch fork on?

ASAP does the trans need to be unbolted to put clutch fork on?

just a quick question, thought i had the fork on good then bolted the trans up all the way and i can pull it off, i cant get it back on and am wondering if the trans has to be loosened back off to get it on

The fork can be pulled off and placed back on the throw-out bearing with the tranny installed.
