I was pulling out of my neighborhood today, was at a stop sign.

Started out in 1st gear, hit the throttle (75%) spun the tires just a bit, and then when I hit about 4500 or 5000 rpms, I hear a clunk and the rpms drop to idle. Put it in second gear, pull over, stop, start again in 1st - Nothing. RPM's jump but no go. Had to start in 2nd gear. Got it back home and called Art Carr... he said he thinks it could be the reverse sprag (pretty sure thats what he said). There was tons of very very fine metal particles in the fluid in the pan.


Any ideas of what happened there??


I'm gonna have to figure out how to pull the tranny and put it back in once they send it back to me
