Aluminum Driveshafts?

Ok once again something is wrong with my car so instead of takeing the time and effort of figuring out what EXACTLY is wrong im just gonna buy a whole new driveshaft (the problem lies there somewhere)....this is beging to be an expensive ternd im starting.

My question is this all the aluminum driveshafts that i have found eaither TPIS or from Hawks are well over $300.. i didnt see them being that damn expensive....Is there anywhere to get them cheaper???
thanks
James

Get a part number on a 1LE driveshaft or an LS1 driveshaft, you can type the number in on www.gmpartsdirect.com and see how much it is. I got my 1LE driveshaft on there for about 250ish.

GMparts direct seems to have good prices, but they rape you on shipping.
I would check with Jason Cromer 877-726-8295.
He works at Sam Taylor Delership in Florida.
He will have about the best price for GM parts.

For wanting to spend less than $300 i don't think you have many options on aftermarket driveshafts.

You could always get the carbon fiber one, but its more expensive...

I bought a LPE and like it. It is just over 300 I think, maybe cheaper if you can get it on a GP somewhere.

yeah, you get what you pay for. of course, i dont think i have to worry about using the stock one. not enough power to rip it up with a v6

Boughy one on ebay for 150.00. Do a search for 98 Camaro driveshaft and see if any come up. If not try again in a week.

not all LS1s have aluminum driveshafts....my 98 Z28 used to have 2.73s and was built with (still has too ) a steel driveshaft.

only 2.73 Z28s and 2.73 Formulas got steel...
