Accident - Rear End Problems - HELP!!!!!

Ok guys, im gonna make this short and sweet. I was ran off the road by a truck the other day and it was either take on the curb or hit the truck, i choose the curb. Anyways, first things noticed were a cracked rotor, bent axle shaft, two cracked rims and my panhard rod looked like a banana. My rear axle was shifted about 3-4" to the passenger side and slightly cocked. I have so far replaced the rotor, rims, panhard rod and lower control arms just incase and my rear end is still sitting about 1" off to the passenger side and is still slightly cocked. I am under the impression that i may have some sort of frame damage but im not sure. If anyone can throw me there inputs i would really appreciate it. by the way, its a 94 T/A.

Did you center the Panhard rod correctly?

Re: Accident - Rear End Problems - HELP!!!!!

if the panhard is adj, check that out. and also look at the TQ arm. If you bent the panhard rod, it wouldn't suprise me if the TQ arm is bent as well. That's a pretty hard hit you took. Then if all that is straight take it to a frame shop and have them hook it up and check it for good measure...but chances are if the frame were bent you'd see some sign of it in the body panels...these cars use the body as the frame (uni-body).

Good luck
Chris

Re: Accident - Rear End Problems - HELP!!!!!

it is a non adjustable panhard rod so it should have centered itself....the car is not lowered or anything. As far as the torqe arm is concerned.......would that cause it to sit cocked like it is now.....i thought the lowercontrol arms controlled the alignment of the axle.....
