Question 94' Rear-end re-build, am i missing anything?

Ok, so my car has near 150,000 miles one 'er, and the stock diff is definately tired, 1 wheel peel on slick surfaces is its new habit. Also it sounds like a jet flying by with all the rear-end noise. So, my plan is to put in an Eaton posi 3-series carrier (already purchased), 4.10 gears, and while i'm at it, have new HD u-joints put on while the driveshaft gets balanced. My question is what all should I expect to buy to complete this. Some people say re-use the bearings on the pinon...is this a good idea? Or should I plan to replace all bearings with new. I'm told i can buy a shim kit for relatively cheap, so i'll prolly do that locally. I'm going to purchase a Hypertech programmer to take care of the ecu, so the A4 cooperates, and other than that I'd just like to know if I have my bases covered. Thanks,

Always use an "install kit". Lucas 85-140w is a good oil, along with the GM posi additive.

I'm planning on using all BG fluids. Do you guys recommend buying the Master Install kits that come with all bearings, shims, gaskets, etc. or would a basic install kit suffice?

I'll get the full bearing kit. Yeah, BG they make some pretty high quality fluids...My brother's a Tech at a GM dealership here, and recently a BG rep came buy, now they are a distributor for them. Its pretty spendy crap, upwards of $20+ a quart depending on what you buy. But he gets cut "special" deals, and he has a couple 15 gallon drums of Gear Oil, also a wide assortment of Tranny Flushes, Coolant Flushes, each like 50 bucks per lil can i think, but it'd be all free to me, so I figure why not.

I certainly didn't live in back then but I've heard stories about big blocks with 3.73s and turbo 400s... I don't know how they did it- I suppose 60 was the fastest anybody cruised around then though.

Yeah, the car almost never sees freeway...cruising rpms are not an issue for me.

I think traction will be non-existent in first gear with that gear ratio. My friend's got 3.42's in his A4 and he can barely get it to hook on the street. If it's a track only car, that's a different story.

its not a track only car, but lack of traction doesn't bother me...I've been planning on this setup for a while now...
