700r4 won't go in all the way

700r4 won't go in all the way

i am doing a 700r4 swap and the tranny i just got wont go in all the way does it need to be line up with any thing? thay are both the same tranny what is stoping it ? its a inch a way from bolting in plz help me thank you

You dont hve the converter fully inserted into the pump , You are not trying to put the trans up with converter allready mounted are you

yes converter allready mounted.. do i need to take that off then put it in ?

Yes! Put it on the tranny first. ALL THE WAY on the tranny.

I just had a problem today, also. Converter wouldn't fit inside the crank!

Had to grind some from the ID of the crank.
