4L60E to T56 conversion

Has anyone done a LS1 T56 F-body swap into a auto LT1 F-body? I own a totaled '98 Z28 T56 car and I'm being offered a killer deal on a procharged '97, only problem is its an auto car. Can I buy the necessary parts to convert the '98 T56 for use with a LT1? like input shaft, bell housing or clutch parts?

Yeah, if you've got everything else already, that's all you would need would be the LT1 style components (bellhousing, clutch w/shift fork, slave cylinder, and the input shaft for the LT1) ... cost ya a few bucks to do, but cheaper than buying a complete LT1 setup (considering you've already got the tranny, shifter, pedals, console plate, etc.)

I'd do it!!

I take it the engine is totalled then too since you didn't mention swapping the engine over. But yes it is possible, just a little bit of work.

The engine isnt totaled but if I swaped that then it would kinda be pointless buying the car since it has a low mile LT1 and I wouldnt be able to use the procharger setup on the LS1.
