4L60E Output shaft ?LS1-LT1

This may seam like a stupid question, but on the tranny is the output shaft splined the same on the LS1 as the LT1.

Can I use the one from an LS1 aluminum driveshaft or should I swap over the one off the steel shaft?

Thanks for the reply.

My tranny just went south and the last thing I did was to change the DS.

After 9 years it was bound to happen, time for a rebuild.
