4L60E help

I'm going to be tearing my trans out of my 95 Z28 in a couple of weeks. I was wondering if anyone has a link to a site that gives a step by step set of directions. Thanks in advance.

Re: 4L60E help

I used Javier's converter install instructions and just made sure the car was up higher, so I could get the tranny out from under the car..

Re: 4L60E help

I just took mine out, had it overhauled and reinstalled it. Not too bad a job. I left the exhaust in place, and let the engine just hang from the engine mounts. I got the top 2 bellhousing bolts out from the top before raising the car up. The other ones are pretty tight to the firewall but came out. Get a 12 point 1/4 inch drive crows foot for the tranny lines they are tight to get to. And be carefull unplugging your wire harness I hear its expensive to replace. Once the trans is dropped down some you can get at it easier...

Then what are you looking for? This is a pretty detailed step by step that includes bolt sizes, pics, and everything. Steps 1 - 9 get it out of the car and the remaining steps put it back in, and and it even tells you how to check the fluid level when your done...

I know of many links, just tell me exactly what you need and I can probably find it. But the one I showed above was pretty good.
