3k Stall
Is this a decent converter? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tchlink:top:en

One thing to live buy with converters is you get what you pay for.. You need a converter with lock-up for one and a anti-ballonning plate for future mods and just to handle a good amount of power, but you also want that converter to have a tight clearance internally so you don't have all the extra room inside to cause more heat, but with any converter it's always a good idea to use a inline trany cooler to help..
Look at converters from Fuddle, Circle D, Vigalante and Yank |
That is 27 spline so outright wrong to start with.
After that it fails to mention 12" or 9.5" and I saw no mention of lockup, critical details for anyone buying or selling converters. I would go with Edge, Yank, or Vigilante. I personally use Edge and due to changing combos and priorities am on my third stall, Andre has always done good by me and the price is good. |
Don't mess with e-bay for car parts. You can get away with finding some styling accesories but almost all car parts off of e-bay are junk. I use a Yank stall which was recommended by Lloyd Elliot and most members on here when I was doing my build. But vigilante is a good one and so is edge like dwayne said. Stay away from TCI and e-bay junk.

well u can always go with B&M, custom suncoast, suncoast will build a TC to your specs or , i know of someone that will build a custom TC to your specs and still beat the yank, vigalanti and others that people recomend here and still get a top quality TC , lemme know if ya need one

B&M has had a bad history on torque converters for many years now. Stay away from B&M when it comes to anything in torque converers. TCI is not a lot better when it comes 700R4's and 4L60E's. PI's Vigilante and Yanks TC's are very good, and Edge and Pro Torque are another.
