Unhappy 2-1 downshift clunk on new trans.

Just got my new trans installed (Performabuilt Level 1 with 2500 stall) but I've got a clunk on the 2-1 downshift when coming to a stop. It also clunks when putting it into drive. The noise is a metallic "tink" that sounds like the flexplate being tapped with something. I suppose the flexplate-to-tc bolts are a possibility, but I find it odd that it only makes noise going into gear and on the downshiift. Before I bother Frank at PB, does anyone have any suggestions? A search didn't get me anywhere.
