500 bux or so.. Just a guesstimate.. due to the diff type's of Diff's out there and their price.. Labor cost's differ too depending on the place.. i've seen people pay 1200 though.. so it varies greatly...

Why not just find a good used rear-end out of a m6 car? I'm sure it'd probaly be a lot cheaper than most places and you could do the swap yourself saving even more money. Plus, you'd have an extra rear-end laying around then "just in case" or sell it and make even more $ back..

That's exactly what I did. Bought a used 3.42 rear out of an M6. Already had a MAC rear end girdle w/studs on it etc. Basically a little stronger than stock, but every bit helps. I needed new rear brake calipers and rotors at the same time. Got the rear for $300 bucks with all the brake hardware in tact. Did the swap, saved big cash on the brake parts and I've had offers to buy my stock rear with the 2.73's for $150 bucks. I bet I could probably sell it for $200 but I'm keeping it around for just a little bit just in case. So I basically got the 3.42's, new brakes and rotors, all for about $150 bucks(after I sell the stocker) and a little bit of my time. Very easy swap.
