video inside. Please help my m6 launch!!

This is the first time I have ever drag raced and my stupid self kept burning out in the water instead of rolling past the water, then burning out. Anyhow my car is getting anywhere from 375 to 395rwhp through M6 w/ maybe 150lbs removed.

I am not using nitrous yet, but everything else in my sig is correct. I was able to pull 1.72 60ft times with a horribly warmed up 26x10.5x15 ET Street(not radials), 3.89 gears launching somewheres between 4-5,000rpms(I plan on getting a launch controller). Do you think I could get 1.5's if I burn out properly? Here is the video, it doesn't show my burnout though. But don't it look like I am slipping way to much on the launch?

Also I have single adjustable coilovers all around. How loose should the strange front coilovers be? and I'm assuming the QA1 rear coilovers should be pretty stiff? Thanks for any help. Here is the video....(Times will look funny since I slowed down at the 1/8th and it was clocking us at the 1/4)

you may have to hit high quality to see the wheel spin.

Front as loose as possible, rear stiff. Next time you will probably remember not to burnout in the water box. Gotta shift quicker than that also. Nice ride

Thats for sure. I will definantly shift faster, just my first time to take my engine to its limit so I was scared. Thanks for the advice.

You didn't do all that badly for your first time out. 1.7x isn't that bad either for a M6. The trouble is, you'll have to start all over the next time out. I would leave everything the same next time out and start by getting your burnouts down pat. You had to much wheel spin off the line but that might change once you heat the tires up better. A manual car is hard to launch and just a small bit of tire spin is better than bogging off the line. If you can't launch well with the proper tire pressure and heat then you move on to the shock settings. Just keep track of your adjustments and try not to do to many things at one time.

The car looks perfect to me. More traction would lead to more bog and to cure that you need a higher rpm launch. Goodluck!

More traction+More rpm= better times.

Better burnout, better shifting=better times. 1.7 isnt too bad, but you can get down to high 1.5's with your setup.

You really want to roll out of the water box.

All the comments above pretty much covered what I was going to say. Listen to them.
