new personal best

just got back from roxboro
best was
60' 1.85
1/8 7.847
mph 95.271

i really like that 95mph trap
backed it up with another 7.87x at 95mph
had a bounch more 94mph runs.

last time in 1/8 my best was like a 8.2x at 86mph

changes were 9" w/ 4.10's (i had 3.42) and cutouts open

i pciked up 4mph in the 1/8 today with cutouts open.

babing off line at 2500 bogging. when i tried to leave hard the wheel hop was terrible. my console went to the back of the car a couple times and on 3 launches my mirror came off
time for some slicks and suspension stuff
putting on relocation brackets this week. any other suggestions?

Assuming you don't run out of steam on a 1/4 mile run, that should put you in the 12.2 range.

So I see that Roxboro motorsports has improved since I used to run there. It used to suck when the old owners were there. I used to live 3 miles from there off of 158.

Those times were all N/A? If so good runs. I ran 93 mph in the 1/8th a couple weekends ago and 11.66@117mph with a loose converter. I am expecting 94mph next time out N/A and 11.4-50's @118-119mph with a tighter converter I put in last week and went 7.09@97mph letting off before the 1/8th with a small shot and still ran 11.20

yes all motor
those are some good times T/A lt1. damn th350, smith has one we might put in my car for a weekend and see how it does or we might throw it in his car?

after i get the ET down on motor a bit more... gonna open up that bottle and see how it runs.

any idea why my wheelhop was so bad? heard it was because the 9" is so much heaver. I never had this problem before the 9" swap. going to put the relocation brackets on this week.

awesome trap speeds!

around here to trap 94-95 in an fbody cars usually have around 430rwhp. i hope if i get 400-410 like yours i can trap that fast in the 1/8 mile.

Well my car does have 420+rwhp b/c last year when I had a Hotcam and some N2o the car dynoed 425rwhp and ran 11.67@116mph with the same weight, gear and better 60's. Now it does that N/A. I am very happy now I need to work on my 60's so I can get some 11.40-50's out of this thing. When i ran 11.66 it 60' was 1.69 spinning quite a bit and the best 60' was 1.66. The car has done 1.60's with less power. Dobe, relocation brackets will help your wheelhop problem. Later Clint

Mine weights about 3450 with me in it and my converter is a little to loose for my current cam, but that will soon be rectified. Then maybe I'll run in the 11.4's. Your times are very impressive, especially since your running a 3.42 gear.

Thanks your car is one that I wanted to run at least that well once my carwas tuned and it did that on the first time out with not so good 60's. It was spinning every pass and my converter was a little loose also. I had it tightened up and will be back at the track soon to get some better 60's and hopefully some 11.40's too. I know my car would be quicker with a lower gear but i like to drive it on the street a little and run n2o so I can't go much lower and still be able to cross under 6500rpms with a 150-175shot.
