new best time

With a little track prep for the NED Super Chevy show I was able to run a 10.705 . Still only had a 1.479 60' but it was 77 degrees and 65% humidity.Should be solidly in the 10.6's in the fall.I am running a 383 stroker n/a with 4.88 gears and a turbo 400.

Hey Keith. Good ET. How was the mph...? I still can't believe your car doesn't sixty foot harder than that.

I developed a "tic" in the valvetrain after the last points race. Hopefully nothing serious. Will see you in a couple of weeks.

Ted it might want to launch at a higher rpm I am leaving at 4400 now. But I like my transmission in one peice.Maybe at the end of the season I will try a 5000 rpm launch if there is traction to be had.Hope the tick is just a header gasket leak or a lifter out of spec.

judging from som chat on the board and some conversations I've had with stock eliminator guys a high 1.30 to low 1.40 should be attainable and the mph should put the car in the 10.50's.But some of the stock guys have 10k in their chassis work alone. As they say it is a work in progress.
