My LT1 is finally coming around. Last year the best I could run was 12.37@109mph in good weather. But I was always having problems with the stupid 4l60e. So finally I made the switch to a Th350 and I decided it was time to step up from the Hotcam so I ordered a custom grond cam fro Joe Overton, fastest N/A LT1 in the country. He sent me a nice street/strip hydraulic roller that would make some nice torque and that it does b/c I wanted to run a high gear b/c I don't have OD anymore and I want to run a big shot of N2o real soon. Anyways here is what the car did Saturday on old ET streets and 3600lb raceweight on 3.42 gears. The weather was 65-70degrees out and it wasn't too humid either. No recordbreaking weather but still not bad.
1.72 60' spinning bad
7.65 1/8th
12.001@113mph
1.70 60' still spinning just left a little easier
7.64 1/8th
12.01@112mph tried spinng it a little higher 6600rpms.
1.77 60' no traction
7.68 1/8th
12.04@113mph I ran a couple other 12.0's but nothing better than those 3 passes. I brought my N2o but since it wouldn't hookup on motor I knew it didn't have a shot on Nitrous. S i am ordering new set of tires Monday and am going back to the track this coming Sunday for some more passes both on motor and Nitrous. I really wanted an 11sec slip on motor but it didn't hqappen this weekend but I was darn close The car usaully 60's 1.64's-1.66's when hooking on motor.

Nice times. Did you get your converter issue straight? I remember you said it was stalling to high. I should be able to pull some 11.9's NA myself when I go out. I still haven't gotten the 28" tires I want yet, so I guess the 10's are up in smoke until then on the dope.

If 1.77 is spinning bad I must be roasting the tires off, I wish I could get the car to hook that good.

I have another converter in it but it is a little loose too but I will have to run it with some good tires first then I will probably go with a little tighter like a 3800 or so. Thanks and I am expecting to be able to run low 1.6's on motor and 1.5's on the spray

Are those times with stock heads? Damn good #s either way. Definitely an 11 second car with traction. Joe O does it again...he's the man.

The heads are not stock but they aren't any real heads either. They were done by a friend of mine and me. There was no flow bench around and it was mainly to cleanup the casting and smoothe evrything out. Anyways thanks guys and I should have my 11sec slip this weekend b/c some brand new tires will be on the car and we may have some decnt weather. Later Clint
