Looks like your ether spinning or bauging down the motor really bad!
2.5 60' is not good...

I don't really know what to tell you but practice.. It's hard to get the feal of a car some times. I had exp running my motorcycle and could "feel" what my car was telling me.

On the factory Z rated tires I pulled a 2.01 60' and ran 13.1@105 with only an air lid.

The launch is by far THE most important part if drag racing.. anyone can shift at 5.5rpm and slam into the next gear... it's the balancing act that happens in the box that makes the race.

Don't just drop the clutch.
Realize you car has more than enough power to spin street tires, so you have to cater the limits of your tires.
If your running stock(ie non drag) tires DO NOT do a burn out and skip the watter. Doing NHRA burn outs on street tires just makes them slicker. Insted, when your staging try rotating the tires 2-3 times to clean off any crap you've picked up staging. Don't do a burn out!
When you parctic, start by erroring on the side of bouging down the enging. Work scientificly! Don't just go up there and flore it. Start by holding the rms's at 2k on your launch, then try 3k, better/worse? Try 3k again and go slower on the gass, work the clutch more, better/worse?

You have to find how YOU drive your car best.

The way I do it maybe has something to do with racing my bike but, I hold the rpm's at about 3.2k, on the launch I work the clutch(not drop) as I press into the gas, don't just flore it, use the clutch to keep the rpm's above 2.7rpm.... After everything catches drive the gas to the flore.

I hope this maybe helps you with your driving.. I'm in no way a pro driver.. but I just seem to "feel" what my car is telling me once the light turns green.

Your 60fts are killing you. Which means you are probably spinning alot. Better tires would help. And practice.

And don't worry, most do real bad their first time out.

umm, where are you racing that you can have people in the car with you?
thats so odd!

anyways... perhaps you need to feather out of the hole a little more.. try launching at a little less rpm..

make sure you know where your motor makes it power

In mine its at about 5500 rpm then it drops off
so I shift at about 5500-5700...

Cordova Dragpark lets people ride down ;)

Man Your dropping the clutch from too high or something. I ran at Cordova for Hangover day Jan 1st.. it was 20F for the high that day...

I was running 14.5 @ 100.2mph 2.4 60ft
14.2 @ 99mph 2.3 60ft
you get the idea... Traction off the line is whats killing you. Good luck bro.. I have an automatic..so I won't have as many issues launching once its warm out. try slipping the clutch and easing into your launch. Good luck next time!
